Waiting and Waiting...To Wait.

It's been over a week since I sent our birth mother letter into the IAC for approval. I did hear back that they've received it, but still no word from them on what they think about it or if it will be approved. I think I said before that I won't mind waiting for a potential birth mother to contact us, but this waiting for each step to be completed is what really kills me. It's like, come on already! Like being trapped in a giant ticking clock or hourglass just sitting there while precious time is wasted.

What a geek I am. That reminded me of this.

And don't get me started. They're not gay. Really. Not gay.

I know the wait is hard but it will all be worth it in the end. And they are definitely gay!

Hi Guys,
The agency I used for our adoption had also said our birth mother letter could be done better and gave us examples. I told them to use the letter I created in the mean time. I never changed it. If you are satisfied with your birth mother letter and their suggestions on change do not fit well with you, tell them you'd like to stay with the one you created. How can an agency reject a birth mother letter that is created by the potential adoptive parents?...Unless, I'm missing something here. Good luck and soon your son or daughter will be in your arms

first of all.. Batman and Robim though it may have seemed like a Daddy/Son relationship in the gay lifestyle, they were not gay. Yes, Batman often took Robin under the wing to show him the way, it never went beyond that fatherly advice. They were no more gay then Beaver Cleaver and his father Ward. And we all know Ward Cleaver wasn't gay, because June used to always tell Ward, "Ward, weren't you a little hard on the beaver last night????" Oh, was she referring to their son?? Oops i guess i always got that one messed up..

The wait is the hardest part, but well worth it.

Have you considered other options that may increase your odds of matching quicker? Let's chat...

Patience is indeed a virtue. Time can only tell what fates may come.

I wonder if the new gay super hero based on the novel "Hero" by Perry Moore wil have a side kick?

Can I ask a really question and I don't mean to offend anyone. I think everyone has the right to try to adopt, but here is my question.
We know they amend birth certificates to show that the adoptive parents had the children. They make it look like the child was born to the adoptive couple. So in the case of two males adopting a baby.. Who is listed as Mother?

Well mygrl that's a good question. It depends on the state the child is born in. Some states will only list one person as they don't allow gay adoption. Others will say Parent and Parent. I'm not sure if any say Father, Father, or Mother, Mother. Looks like we have a new blog topic!
