Superman--Earth's Crappiest Adoptive Father

Well if you know me you know I love Superman. Supes fits right in here, seeing as how he is an adopted child himself. Now as much as I hope we adopt a Super Baby from Krypton, I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. But in a cruel twist of fate, it turns out Superman, who should know better, is really a crappy adoptive parent. I plan on having positive images of adoption for our baby to see and I kind of hoped to use Earth's Greatest Hero as an example of what an adopted child can accomplish. However, I think I'll have to make sure I steer clear of this issue from the '50's...
