Eat Like a Lady Not a Dog

That phrase came out of my mouth today, and it wasn't until about ten seconds later that I realized I just said it to a ten month old.  And in a serious way.  I had to laugh at myself.  Last year while dreaming of her, I never thought I'd equate her habits with those of a dog.  But when you put your face into the bowl to eat your snack, well...

But eating like a dog is so much fun.

By the way, I forgot to ask. Are you in rainy California for Sabrina's finalization? Travel safely, and enjoy every moment with Sabrina's birthmother and her family.

My daughter's response at this point to such statements (Yes, we're still saying that to her and she is 3) is to bark. So hard not to laugh.

She didn't want to dirty her hands. She needs a little pair of white gloves to keep them soft and dainty.lol

Now, now, be careful with using those moderately sexist terms, such as "lady" -- eat "politely", maybe? -- just got to rib you! I'm amazed when my mother's phrases comes out of my mouth -- shocking!

It sounds like Ripley and Chase have a big effect on the adorable Sabrina! Next time, be sure to snap a picture for all of us to enjoy. :)

To answer your question on my blog - yes, we would love to go out to Arizona, but I don't think my friend is going to hook up with that guy now... He's so picky - so what if this guy is a well established, realtor who owns multiple homes in the upscale pheonix area. :) Have you guys ever thought about visiting Florida? Maybe you could visit for gay days and be one of those gay dad families who wear their red at disney... just a thought. :)

Having both a baby and dogs, one can get confused. They are very similar in many ways, until suddenly the baby start doing stuff that dogs don't and it catches you by surprise.

I still sometimes get confused when I'm telling them off and call the youngest dog by my son's name and vice versa. :)

I think it's your fault she's eating like a dog, Bobby. After all, YOU are the one who let her eat out of a dog bowl to begin with....

When in Rhome....

I think that she thought she was eating like a lady by keeping her hands clean lol. I, for one, do not like finger foods because of the messy factor;) I totally get your daughter haha.

I don't know if it helps any, but I used to try to drink from the dog bowls. Eventually I figured out that human tongues just don't seem to be shaped the right way for lapping water, and gave it up.
