116? Really? *Sigh*...

I got that "Boom Boom Pow"
First, the gratuitous picture of Sabrina doing cute stuff...got it? OK. On to the post.
Right now it's 8:45 AM on a cloudless day. The temperature? Just a mere 93 degrees. Yes, 93 and it's not even 9 o' clock yet! We're used to that here, after all it is the desert. We're expected to hit 108 today, followed by 110 tomorrow and up to 116 on Saturday and Sunday. That's brutal hot. I think we'll be staying in! Actually, I doubt there will be much activity in the Valley of the Sun at all this weekend. We pack the malls, movie theatres, and bowling alleys looking for cool relief. When the water in the pool is 90 degrees, is it really that refreshing? My aunt is coming for a visit in two weeks to meet the baby. She lives on Long Island, where I'm from. On Saturday, the forcasted temperature is 76 degrees. That's 40 degrees cooler then here. 40! Gregg's right...what was I thinking? "Oh please can we leave California and go back to Arizona?" I guess the winter weather makes up for it.
OK guys, let's get a feel for your summers. Leave me a comment with the forcasted temperature for your city on Saturday. Lowest temperature wins. No you don't get a prize. Just my envy.

I am in Milwaukee-- yesterday when I left work, it was 67 degrees.
IT ROCKED. In Wisconsin, we have humid summers.. I can't tell you how painful and sick they are -- and not sick as in "they that wave you were riding was really SICK"...

Conclusion: fat girls are okay with 67 degrees.

In Chicago we are looking at a low of 64 and a high of 81 for Saturday. Considering I grew up in TX where it gets hellish hot, I am lovin the 81!!!

For once we will not win this low temperature contest. Today was a lovely day, much warmer than it has been... at 65! Saturday will be an amazing sunny and 77, perfect perfect perfect!
Thanks for helping me to realize how great our summers can be (when there's not so much rain!)!

Sabrina is settling into the darling baby contest winner for sure. Our area of the Central Coast CA won't win the lowest or highest temp prizes but that's why I live here, ha. 82 on Sat. Love it.

It was 110 here today, so no envy for me! Las Vegas is so much the same as AZ. Same temps, different sand.

But we do have "Thunder from Down Under" so I suppose there are worse places to live. ;)

When you think Wyoming...I bet you think cold. Well its not cold. Today I thought it was miserable hot at (drum roll)...82 degrees. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 76 (yay). It's actually supposed to be warmer in the mountains tomorrow...? Weird. I used to live in Iowa...so I understand hot...but mostly I understand humid...so humid that you think you are going to grow gills. I don't miss that at all!!! But no matter what...I can't imagine 116!

OH, I should of added, there is a scene in the movie Xanadu, where Gene Kelly is roller skating and singing the Xanadu song. HA. He does this whole "HO! thing and screaming Xanadu). Love it. I think Sabrina does too.
