"Typo-ver" It

OK I'm in slight panic mode...
The stupid cards again. The back side has the IAC's phone number which is
1-800-877-OPEN
"OPEN" is 6736. I put 4262, which is the last four of our toll free number! Ugh I can't believe I didn't catch that with the amount of obsessing I did over them. (None of you caught it either!) Now what to do about it? Gregg says stop worrying if they really want to talk to us they'll just call our number. I guess I could just get out a Sharpie and blot that part out. Take a moment and comment on this quickie poll:

I should:
A. Use the Sharpie and stop worrying
B. Reprint the cards
C. Print a sticky label with IAC's information and cover it up.
D. Stop being so gay and get over it; leave the cards alone.
E. Puns aren't funny and the title of this post is way out in left field.

I vote for D. I don't think anyone is really going to catch it. I mean... we all looked at the cards and didn't notice. If you use a sharpie or cover it up you will only draw attention to your mistake. You don't want to do that! Its not like they will end up with the wrong number. Either way they will contact you or the agency. Stop obsessing (easy for me to say) and enjoy the journey to becoming a father!

Oh, I'm sorry! That would have probably thrown me over the edge. Maybe I should go check my cards??? I think you should forget about the cards for awhile and focus on the letter. How is it going? It takes awhile to get it approved. Ours only took 3-4 revisions...but I've heard that there can be 10+. I hope your letter goes smoothly.

I'd go with "C" - put a sticky label over it with the correct info. I see that in books and professional brochures all the time. It says to me, "Accidents happen, but we're aware of it and here's the correct information." Personally I'm not one to ignore mistakes, I think admitting them shows character and growth. But I'm weird and old-fashioned like that, whatever you do will be great.

I'm all for D.. but.. i know how Obsessive Compulsive you can be.. and being that you are still obsessing over the fact that the cards dont match in colors to the website, this is a perfect time for you to redesign and match the colors up. And don't tell me you haven't already thought that..

Hello Gregg and Bobby.
I found your blog via other blogs that I read daily. I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you I will be thinking of you and hope that you find your child soon. My name is Michelle and my husband and I spent 5 years trying to concieve our baby. We had 2 miscarriages before moving onto adoption. 2 months after our 2nd miscarriage we were contacted by a birth mother. A friend of friend of friend's sister. She saw our ad option website that we made on our own and fell in love with us. We talked on the phone, met and adopted our daughter Kayla. She is an absolutel miracle and everything we could ever dream of and more. I hope that you too, will recieve the gift of life and you can enjoy what I am enjoying everyday. It will be worth that wait!! I look forward to following your journey. Please feel free to read my blog. I'm addicted. I blog alot!
Nice to meet you!

Hey Bobby.
Your very welcome. I must say you are lucky to have a partner that is a chef! Yum! I would love a link to some of the stuff he posts! I dont think I have ever made the same crock pot recipe twice. I like to experiment with new stuff. Actually...I take that back now that I think of it. I do make this one chicken recipe a lot when we have people over.

Have you guys noticed that all of the IAC gay bi-racial couples are matched right now. You guys will be daddies and papas in no time! :)

Jen and Kara...I saw that yesterday. While it gives me hope, I'd still like to see some of the couples that have been waiting for a long time match up. My next post will talk about our letter...
