Toddla Please!

Well after sleeping like an angel both through the night and when we first put her down, this last week or so has been murder.  Sabrina has decided she doesn't want to go down easy, and we've been staying up later and later.  Sometimes it's crankiness, sometimes it's screaming, and sometimes it's just wanting to play.  Putting her in the crib and letting her cry it out doesn't work because she's out of there in an instant.  Trapped like a dog and barking at the gate, she wants out of that room.  Then there's the getting up in the middle of the night and eventually coming to bed with us.  Acrobatic gymnastics for two hours, laughing, and babbling, then finally sleep.  I blame it on the molars that are coming in on both sides of her mouth.  We'll see what happens in a few days when her new toddler bed arrives.  I just hope it lets us all get some more sleep!

Side note, we tried on her dress for the wedding we're going to in mid October, and it fits perfectly.  I'm sworn to secrecy, so you'll have to wait until then for the big reveal.

Well, good luck with that. I think I spoke too soon on my last comment, maybe I should have knocked on wood, b/c my 16 month old climbed out of her crib after her nap the other day and landed on her face. She almost gave herself a black eye. It was really red and looked pretty bad. I'm not ready to move her into a toddler bed yet though. I'm thinking about trying a crib tent. I think she may have learned her lesson though b/c she hasn't tried to climb out anymore since then. Still don't want to take anymore chances...gotta do something. Can't wait to hear how your ordeal goes.

I hear rum will help a toddler who is teething sleep really well. :) All kidding aside, my mom actually used to rub rum on our gums while we were teething... I'm amazed that we survived! lol

I'm looking forward to the big reveal. I suspect that her toddler bed will make her want to sleep better. Good luck!

I think rum can help with a toddler who is teething...as long as it's the parents who are drinking it!

Sorry for the sleep deprivation. This phase too shall pass! I hope it's soon.

And I can't wait to see this top-secret dress...

I know it sounds crazy and a little out there but the very best thing for teething is anal ease and teething tablets. I couldn't live without either of them with our 10 month old.
