Bedtime stories over by 8:35...Cuddle time lasts for 10 minutes...Minimal protestation on getting in the toddler bed.
By 9:15, Gregg's already asleep and I'm downstairs alone in the darkened family room enjoying a glass of Malbec and hard Bavarian pretzels while watching the season premiere of Dexter (again) on DVR. Ah, pretzels, quiet, wine, and a serial killer. Who could ask for anything more?
**And she slept all night, but I did find her on the futon again this morning. Works for me.

sleeping in her room all night? Check (wherever she sleeps). Calm house by 9 pm (check). You done it!
Good job- kids hate change- but you stuck with it. Now can you come get my child to go to bed before midnight?
SA-WEET!!!
now, have sabrina call rhys and give him the memo that it is NOT okay to wake up @ 4:30 a.m. ;-)
Put one in T2Ds' column.
Wow, how cool is that??? Congrats!!
I remember the days of the toddler bed with my son! Oh, the horror!
He would get out of his bed and run and rummage through the house all night. He'd reach the thermostat and turn it down as low as it could go. I wondered why I woke up and found fog on the windows and the house has bitterly cold!
He never slept in it. He didn't do better until we got him his own twin sized bed. We decorated his room and made up his bed with new sheets and comforter set.
My daughter-- went straight from the crib to a twin sized bed. Something about those toddler beds just seems to make toddlers wanna just . . . well . . . toddle!
Good luck!
You are SO funny!!
